Spatulas and Stir Rods

A lab spatula has many uses including scooping and spreading. A micro lab spatula is excellent for handling extremely small samples. A PTFE-coated lab spatula is ideal for handling chemicals. A nickel or stainless steel spatula is versatile and when coated with PP, they feature excellent chemical and heat resistance. A lab spatula may be single use, sterile, or nonsterile. A stirring rod, often called a policeman, can vary in length, tip shape, and material. Stir rods coated with PP and PTFE are autoclavable and provide excellent heat resistance. PE/Steel stir rods offers excellent chemical resistance and temperature resistance. Glass stir rods use soft borosilicate glass with excellent chemical resistance.
